Ultimate Golf Shootout at Dragon Ridge
This was my first tournament since my back injury in September and I was curious to see how my body would feel. The last few weeks leading up to the event I have been working on healing my back and improving my short game. I haven't played or hit too many balls.
I shot 70 on my opening round. My ball striking wasn't where it has been which was expected since I haven't been playing. My putting on the other hand was great, my short game practice is paying off.
Day 2 was similar to day 1. My putting was great but I didn't have very good control off the tee. I shot 72 to finish the event at -2 and T8. My errors came from the Par 5's, I surprisingly played them +3 for the two days. Par 5's are normally my bread and butter.
I am glad to be feeling better and to see my short game improving. I am looking forward to next year, I hope to be in Las Vegas soon and I'm exploring the possibility of playing some events eGolf at the beginning of the season. Great things are coming!!!
